About Us

The River Road Santa Clara Volunteer Library is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with the mission of providing library services for the River Road and Santa Clara communities.

In 2003, a small, dedicated group of local citizens spent numerous hours collecting and cataloging thousands of books to start a library in the River Road/Santa Clara area. The doors opened in June of 2003 and now the residents of the River Road and Santa Clara communities have affordable access to library services that were previously unavailable.

Knowing the importance of library services to the health and well-being of any community, our volunteers work hard to keep our doors open.  The library is 100% volunteer-run from the board members to the librarian to the volunteers who keep our books circulating.

If you are interested in donating either items or funds to our organization, please visit our donations page.

We now have over 13,000 items including both fiction and non-fiction for adults and children, audiobooks, and DVDs.

The library is governed by a volunteer board:

  • Vickie Cain, Chair
  • Jerry Finigan, Vice Chair
  • Charissa Nelson, Treasurer, Fundraising Coordinator
  • Kathleen Allison
  • Rick Rubin
  • Abi Vinson, Volunteer Coordinator
